ShalePlay App Updated for International and Android Users
July 23, 2014
Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced today it has updated the ShalePlay app to serve Android users as well as international oil and gas companies and other professionals involved in shale plays. Powered by the firm’s international energy law and environmental law attorneys and government relations professionals, the ShalePlay app is the first of its kind, global resource on news and information related to international shale gas and hydraulic fracturing, including the latest oil and gas industry trends and updates.
With oil and gas production near record levels as a result of hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”), a drilling technique that frees trapped hydrocarbons by injecting water, sand and chemicals into shale rock, this free app is vital to international oil and gas companies and individuals interested in keeping up to date with developments in the sector.
“Since the initial launch earlier this year, we updated the ShalePlay app to offer Android users and our international clients the latest news and information on oil and gas production in global shale plays, providing a one-stop-shop for worldwide shale gas related content,” said Paul Grabowski, chief marketing officer, Bracewell & Giuliani. “Since January, the app has been downloaded more than 3,300 times.”
The ShalePlay app includes:
News aggregated from a variety of key sources
Legislation/regulation
Shale studies
Interactive global map of shale plays
Glossary of common terms
Historical timeline of hydraulic fracturing
Analysis from Bracewell & Giuliani attorneys
The app is available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and now Android devices.
The firm’s energy lawyers also generate the Energy Legal Blog® for updates and analysis on national and global energy issues.
