Shumen. A protest against the shale gas extraction will be held in the Bulgarian town of Shumen in the end of next week, Radio FOCUS – Shumen reported.
The news was announced by the citizens’ committee against shale gas and coal dust studies and extraction. The organisers of the demonstration are now considering the form of the protest – whether to gather in front of the municipal office or join a rally. They also plan to launch a petition with their demand.
“There is one demand. To stop the holes punching and possible lighting of coal dust in Dobrudzha,” said Krasmir Vardiev with the committee.
